The Cube Yellow autopilot is a new model in the Cubepilot ecosystem, designed for hobby users, commercial system integrators, and UAS manufacturers. Positioned between the Cube Black and Cube Orange, the Cube Yellow offers improved performance and newer sensors over the Cube Black while maintaining compatibility with the F series SOC.
- Processor: faster F7 SOC with 512KB RAM
- Redundant sensors: upgraded triple redundant IMU sensors for extra redundancy
- Vibration isolation: 2 sets of IMU are mechanically vibration-isolated, reducing the effect of frame vibration on state estimation
- Temperature control: IMUs are temperature-controlled by onboard heating resistors, ensuring optimal working temperature
- Compact design: the entire flight management unit (FMU) and inertial management unit (IMU) are housed in a small form factor
- Compatibility: fully compatible with Cubepilot carrier boards, all inputs and outputs go through an 80-pin DF17 connector, allowing a plug-in solution for commercial system manufacturers
System integration
All Cube models, including the Cube Yellow, are compatible with a wide range of carrier boards. This allows users to choose an off-the-shelf carrier board design that best suits their needs. System designers can also integrate the Cube directly into their designs using the published carrier board specifications.
