The Cube Black is an end-of-life CubePilot autopilot. For new UAV designs, we recommend choosing a newer CubePilot autopilot such as the Cube Orange+ where possible. The Cube Black is a legacy CubePilot autopilot module for Pixhawk 2.1 style flight controller systems. It is intended for replacement, maintenance, and existing UAV platforms that already use the Cube Black ecosystem.
For new drone builds or new system designs, this product is usually not the first choice. It remains useful for operators who need a like-for-like replacement or who maintain older CubePilot-based aircraft where changing the flight controller platform is not practical.

- Best for replacements – Recommended mainly for maintenance of existing systems, not for new designs.

Recommended Use
The Cube Black is best suited for maintenance, spare parts, and replacement use in existing UAV systems that already depend on this autopilot. If you are designing a new UAV platform, consider a newer CubePilot autopilot instead.
